It doesn’t matter which island you visit in Hawaii – you’re going to find yourself in a tropical paradise. One moment you can be shopping in one of the many tourist districts and the next you can be sailing the clear waters in a glass bottom boat. You can hike up an ancient volcano, take in a luau on the beach or just lay on the white sand beaches and do nothing all day long. Hawaii is the perfect Winter vacation spot for virtually any tour group – from singles to seniors to families.

Before you go:

  1. Be prepared for flight delays due to inclement weather at local airports. There are often many flight cancellations due to weather events during the Winter.
  2. Have a few different vacation locations in mind in case of sell outs. Winter is a popular travel time and some destinations may sell out early.
  3. Check the weather conditions in your vacation destination so you can pack accordingly. Some tropical locations do have cool nights even though the days are quite warm.
  4. Use plenty of sunscreen while outdoors. The sun shines at different angles in different countries and it may be stronger in your destination location than you’re used to at home.

Yep, these photos make me want to escape somewhere hot. My top picks are Fiji or the Maldives!

  2. Crete is actually our honeymoon island, so naturally we’re biased when it comes to Crete…. Such a wonderful island, so much to explore and wonderful beaches, but you might have to ask someone to find the best ones!
