Niagara Falls has long been a favorite vacation spot for many. Many have known this spot as the ideal place to choose for your honeymoon, but with lots of natural beauty and welcoming way, it is popular for that summer vacation or quick getaway. The first thing you’ll want to do is to visit “the falls.” They are part of the enormous Niagara Falls State Park. The falls have both an American and a Canadian side. Niagara Falls State Park has more than 400 acres of land and active wildlife. If you’ve never seen the Niagara Falls before, you are in for such a treat. They are a unique phenomenon, a natural force of nature.

Take a Maid of the Mist Boat Tour. Once you’ve seen the Niagara Falls, you’re going to want to take the classic Maid of the Mist Boat Tour that thousands have taken before you. You’ve probably heard about this fun boat tour from friends, family members and even seen it in movies and television. This boat tour will take you through both the American and Canadian Niagara Falls. Remember that part of the fun is getting up close to the falls, so it is pretty exciting to see the natural beauty of the falls. Don’t worry about getting too wet, you’ll be provided with something to help keep you (pretty much) dry.

Visit the Cave of the Winds. This is an amazing experience, up close at Niagara Falls. You’ll stand on Hurricane Deck and water from the falls will hit your face as you are mere feet from the thundering falls. This tour happens during the day and the night, at night the tour is illuminated and is quite a unique sight. During this tour, you should expect to get wet, and be prepared to hear the great noise of the falls, really up close!

Daredevil Museum. Niagara Falls has admittedly attracted quite a few daredevils in its time. Now we aren’t encouraging any future daredevils out there! At the Daredevil Museum you’ll see memorabilia from some of the most memorable escapades, including Steve Trotter and Lori Martin’s two man barrel.

Rainbow Air Helicopter Tours. Sometimes getting up and over the falls is the most fun for tourists. Try a helicopter tour that takes you over both the American and Canadian Niagara Falls. You’ll enjoy a stunning view that many simply don’t see.

Seneca Niagara Casino. At this fun casino you’ll find more than 100 table games and thousands of slot machines. Enjoy world-class gaming and a top entertainment resort. The Seneca Niagara Casino has 10 restaurants, perfect for an evening out of fine dining and fun entertainment.

Aquarium of Niagara. This is a popular choice for many tourists who visit Niagara. You’ll find more than 1,500 aquatic animals at this large aquarium. Find sharks, sea lions, piranhas and more. Enjoy seeing their penguins and Giant Pacific octopus.

State Parks. You’ll find quite a few state parks in the Niagara Falls areas; there is much unspoiled beauty in this area. Perfect for a family picnic, walk in nature or just enjoy a beautiful day. Try Deveaux Woods State Park or Devil’s Hole State Park.

Haunted House of Wax. Looking for some spooky fun? Try the Haunted House of Wax, full of spooky moving characters of many types.

They have regular live music every week and also an outdoor summer concert series. If you have teenagers or family members who love rock music, this is a popular attraction to visit.

Niagara Science Museum. If you love science, you won’t want to miss this science museum, filled with old science instruments. It’s perfect for an afternoon with the children or anyone curious about scientific advances. Both educational and fun!

Get Married! Niagara Falls has long been known as The Honeymoon Capital of the World, but is it now a very popular destination wedding spot. If you want an exciting wedding, try getting married in the “Sky Chapel” or in a helicopter over the falls. More traditional couples might want to choose one of the lovely gardens or even a stunning local cathedral.
